Kingston is our home city — about ten minutes south of our Lake Katrine shop on Route 9W. Heating and cooling for homes and businesses in Kingston, NY.
Kingston heats with radiators. Much of the city was plumbed for cast iron and a boiler rather than ductwork, which changes what a heating upgrade actually looks like here compared with a house built in 1985.
Cast iron radiators are one of the best heat emitters ever made, and there is no reason to remove them. When the boiler behind them fails, a modern high-efficiency unit can usually feed the same radiators at lower water temperature, provided the system is balanced and the near-boiler piping is right. Done properly, that is a comfort gain and a fuel saving without touching the rooms.
Pre-war Kingston homes generally have no ductwork and no space to hide it without boxing out ceilings. That is why ductless mini-splits are usually the honest answer: one head per zone, a line set on an exterior wall, and no demolition. If a house does have ducts, we will tell you — but we will not sell you a ducted system that means tearing up a century-old plaster job to install.

Property Assessment in KingstonIf it cannot wait until morning, call. A dispatcher answers and gives you a real arrival window.
Yes, and it is the usual approach in Kingston. Keep the hydronic heat you already have, and add ductless cooling in the rooms that need it. The two systems run independently, so a summer failure does not take your heat with it.
Age matters less than condition and parts availability. A boiler with a cracked block or a leaking section is done. One that is 25 years old but sound may still have years in it. We look at the heat exchanger, the near-boiler piping and the chimney before giving you an opinion either way.
Kingston is our home city — about ten minutes south of our Lake Katrine shop on Route 9W. For an emergency call we give you a real window based on where the crew is when you phone, rather than an optimistic figure. On a normal night that is often inside two hours.
Estimates on replacement and installation work are free. A diagnostic visit to find a fault carries a fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead. You hear the number before anyone is dispatched.
Free estimate, honest diagnosis, and a crew that shows up when we say we will.
